Operators ran satellite networks of up to 5,000 devices through a tool that overwhelmed non-technical users and held back technical ones. With friendlier competitors on the market, the company needed a new front end that kept all the power and lost the complexity.

From paper forms to visual call flows

A European cloud telephony provider's installation partners configured call routing through long forms, so answering "why isn't my phone ringing?" meant reverse-engineering setups page by page. The opportunity: one visual call flow that stays readable at 17,700 nodes per customer.

Our installation partners can work intuitively.

A production-line monitor you can read at a glance

Production monitor for a car plant. Press shop, body welding, paint, assembly and final quality sit on one dark canvas. No node is selected.

ngDiagram, Synergy Codes' Angular diagramming library, can be shaped into almost any domain. We picked a hard one to prove it. Operators watch production lines on screens that hold every number and answer no question: a failing machine looks like every other one, and nothing shows what it will block next.

Users

Different users, different needs.

We designed for the Operator, and covered the needs of the other three roles through the configurability of the diagram.

  • L1

    Plant Manager

    Aggregated OEE, trend, alert count

  • L2

    Shift Manager

    Line status, throughput, bottleneck

  • L3

    Operator. Designed for this role.

    Machine status, alarms, cycle time

  • L4

    Maintenance

    Sensors, vibration, alarm thresholds

A B2B marketplace built around negotiation, not checkout

A B2B marketplace digitizing sales, order and supply management for building contractors and manufacturers in the Swiss market. An industry that runs on phone calls and paper will not adopt a webshop.

A fundable MVP plan in five days

An early-stage founder had a vision, an investor ready to back it, and no shared answer to what to build first.

Five-day workshop · Early-stage startup

Positioning first, roadmap second

The in-house product team asked for a six-month action plan. Every ranking question bounced off one they had not answered: which product leads, for whom, and under what name.

Facilitation · Product strategy · One-day workshop

Thirteen leaders, one day, and quarterly OKRs they wrote themselves

The company needed quarterly OKRs the people accountable for them would write themselves, still traceable to the mission, the values, the annual goals and the half-year product plans. The previous quarter had no dedicated facilitator.

This is a hard group to tame and you managed it, big congrats ;)

AI Act research that ended in a decision, not a feature. What to build, for whom, and what we still didn't know.

A workflow builder team wanted to ride the EU AI Act wave with a compliance feature for AI in recruitment. The concept came out of a hackathon and looked convincing in a demo. The question, before any design hours: is this worth building, and if so, in what shape?

Weronika Malcher in a field of blue flowers

Building a product is a well-planned route, adjusted with every step, and one team walking it together.

From people I've worked with

  • She ran the best product workshops I've taken part in.

I really enjoyed working with Weronika. She ran the best product workshops I've taken part in - very well prepared, focused, and useful. She asked the right questions, challenged our assumptions, and helped us get much more clarity around our product positioning and roadmap. It helped our product team adjust our focus and with time it became clear we made good decisions thanks to Weronika. I'd happily work with her again.

  • She's direct, asks good questions, and gets to the point.

Weronika was responsible for the design of our product, and she was a pleasure to work with. She designed the interface around our needs, created the brand identity, and stayed involved all the way through to launch. She also took on the more complex data side of the product, turning it into clear visualizations, and worked directly with our engineers to make sure the designs were implemented well. She's direct, asks good questions, and gets to the point. I'd recommend her for product design roles where someone needs to own the design end to end.

  • Good at turning requirements into simple, intuitive designs.

I hired Weronika as a UX/UI Designer, where she was part of a small two-person design team working on OmegoFleet. She worked fast, communicated very well, and consistently came up with great ideas. She was good at turning requirements into simple, intuitive designs and was always easy to work with. I really enjoyed working with her and would gladly recommend her to any product team.

  • We even won a Best of Swiss Web award in 2024 with that product.

The collaboration with Weronika was both very productive and pleasant. She continuously came up with good ideas and new perspectives, and therefore helped to bring our project forward a lot. Together with her colleagues, she organized a very productive 3-day workshop in Thessaloniki that was critical to setting up/starting the software project successfully. And in the end, we even won a "Best of Swiss Web" award in 2024 with that product. Weronika was very flexible and always delivered in time, even if deadlines were challenging. I wish her all the best and can recommend her for any business-critical product design role.
